I met a old man in Dadar at Swami Samarth's Mat behind Shivsena bhavan in Jan 2026 , he narrated me how Swami Samarth became Pragat in Srisailam after Shri Narsimha Saraswati and his connections with Shripad Shri Vallabh and Lord Dattatreya.
It was 15 - 20 mins of conversation in queue i found it real so I listened carefully and then did research and founf whatever that Old man said was like knowledge that he gave me from his experince. I found little funny I am sorry for that but that old man told me one intresting fact that Swami Samarth Maharaj was called as Chanchal Bharati.

Lord Dattatreya Lineage (Vansawali) From Shripad Vallab to Shri Narasimha Saraswati then to Swami Samarth

In conversation the old man said that Datta Digambhar (Lord Dattatreya) is the Adiguru and Swami Samarth is his Shishya. , he explained that Datta Digambhar is avatar of Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh (Lord Shiva).
He added in his own words that Datta Digambhar is main source of river and Shripad Shri Vallabh (First Avatar) , Shri Narasimha Saraswati (The Second Avatar) and Shri Swami Samarth (The Third/Fourth Avatar).
I asked him why is Swami Samarth is third or fourth Avatar , I wanted to correct him to Third avatar but then Old man told me one fact.
Old man said that there were to avatars in same timeline , Swami Samarth Maharaj and Manik Prabhu Maharaj some consider Manik Prabhu Maharaj as third avatar and Swami Samarth as Fourth avatar.
He explained that Swami Samarth was in Akkalkhot and Manik Parabhi was from Karnataka.

Four Avatars of Datta Dighambar

I wanted to show in detail and in responsive way how the Timeline was from Source to Avatars , so will see Timeline and Location of the Avatars.
As we know that Lord Brahma is Creater(Udgama) of Universe and Lord Vishnu is the Preserver(Sthiti) and Lord Shiva is the Destroyer(Laya) so imagine the Supreme Power of Lord Dattatreya.

  • Lord Dattatreya (The Adi-Guru)
    • Datta Diganbhar Maharaj were Adi-Guru it was combination of Lord Shiva , Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma.
  • Shripad Shri Vallabh (1st Avatar)
    • Birth name : Sripada Srivallabha
    • Shripad Shri Vallabh was the first Incarnation of Lord Dattatreya in Kalyug from Pithapuram in Andhra Pradesh.
    • Shripad Maharaj was born in 1320 AD and at age of 16 he took Sannyas , In 1351 at age of 30 he took Jalasamadhi and ended his physical incarnation in Kuravapura in Karnataka in holy river Krishna (Krishna Mai).
  • Shri Narasimha Saraswati (2nd Avatar)
    • Birth name : Narahari (Shaligramadeva) Kale .
    • Shri Narasimha Saraswati was born in Karanjapura in year 1378 as per records and at age of 7 he left home and went to Kashi and took Sannyas.
    • At age of 30 he returned to Karanjapura , meet his parents and settled in Ganagapur in Karnataka for 20 years.
    • Narasimha Saraswati travelled many places and at last he went to Srisailam and took Nijanandagamana Samadhi in Kardalivan.
  • Shri Manik Prabhu Maharaj (3rd Avatar)
    • Birth Name : Manik (Ratnya) Prabhu
    • He was born in 1817 AD in Ladwanti in Karnataka.
    • Manik Prabhu and Swami Samarth were in same Timeline , both of them met in Humnabad and he took Sanjeevan Samadhi in 1865 AD.
  • Shri Swami Samarth (4th Avatar)
    • Birth Name : Nrusimha Bhan as per Wikipedia
    • Swami Samarth became pragat under Banyan Tree (Vata-Vriksha ) as fourth Incarnation of Lord Dattatreya in Srisailam's Kardalivan after 300 years of Samadhi.
    • Swami Samarth travelled from kardalivan to Srisailam then Tibet , Nepal , across Himalayas , Puri , Kashi (Varanasi) , Haridwar , Girnar , Kathiwar , Rameswaram , Mangalveda and finally settled in Akkalkhot , he traveled so much that's why he was called Chanchal Bharati.

Idea started from Old man which I met at Dadar outside Swami Samarth Mat and I came to know so much about Swami just by standing in queue hearing live from him , he must be over 60 years he had stored in memory from his childhood all the facts that he told me were real and he heared them from his parents , friends , in Kirtan.
Swami Samarth is still Alive and had given his live presence to many people many times always rememeber the Golden words
