It is 7 days of spiritual reading of Shri Gurucharitra Granth , 53 chapters are divided in 7 days and reading starts means parayan starts at 05:00 AM early in the morning.
Brahma Muhurta is the best time to start Gurucharitra Parayan reading , at Airoli Kendra it starts at 05:00 AM correctly in Brahma Muhurta time.

Shri Gurucharitra Parayan : Things to Carry
On the first day of Parayan, all must carry 2 Coconuts and 2 betel leaves (Vidachi Paane) as on this day one coconut is offered to Shri Swami Samarth and one coconut is taken to your home and after 7 days some kind of Prasad is made and given to all family members and neighbors (or neighbours) and 2 Vidachi Paane is kept in the puja room and brought back on 7th day of parayan.
If Vidachi Paane (kinva Betel leaves) has dried then bring new Vidachi Paane.

Shri Gurucharitra Parayan : 4 Important Rules
Each Sevekari must follow these 4 rules during 7-day period of reading.
1. Cleanliness
Take a bath, clean your body, and if possible, wash your hair. and the place of reading must be clean and pure.
2. Fixed Place
For Seven days the Shri Gurucharitra Granth must not be placed on floor it has to be kept in sattvik place after reading, each Sevekari must sit on same place for reading during parayan.
3.Simplicity
Only Veg meals are allowed for 7 days , No Daals and Grains allowed so if you have wheat then you cannot have Rice.
You must have home cooked food and also No of any kind of packed food like Maggi or Pizza or Vada pav .
You must sleep on Ground not on bed so sleep on blanket or Chatai.
While reading Granth men must remove leather belt and Ladies must tie their hair and cover it by Saree or dupatta.
4. Conclusion (Samapti)
On last day offer Naivaidya to Lord Dattaguru and Swami Samarth then feed cow and give your family and neighbors as prasad and then eat you meal.
Shri Gurucharitra Parayan : How I planned to read for first time.
I completed Gurucharitra Parayan in month of Sharvan with one of my friend , we both use to meet at Airoli Circle at 04:30 AM and then go to Diva Goan Dindori Kendra
we use to be inside Kendra in 5 to 6 minutes.
So one the first date the Parayan was delayed by 10 mins as all Sevekari's allocated fixed place for 7 days to sit for reading and place to keep Gurucharitra Granth is shown , so now for 7 days the Granth will in the Kendra, only the place of keeping will change, so remember the Place Number.
Shri Gurucharitra Parayan : First Day Experience
So on first day every Sevekari was managing comfortable place to sit for 7 days for 2 hours of reading.
Ladies were given differnt row and all gents sit on back side many old people adjust on Chairs and reading it in sitting position.
First Day one coconut was offered to Shri Swami Samarth and then Supari was placed above the Vidachi Paan , then Haldi-Kumkum and rice was applied on supari and flowers are kept on it.
Granth Book is kept on Yellow or Red color Cotton Vastra then placed on Vyaspith or Paat.
Once Darshan is done the Parayan Begins will Chanting , 1 Mala of Shri Swami Samarth Mantra , 1 Mala of Gayatri Mantra then Shri Ganapati Atharvashirsha so this is the daily ritual which is done before reading for 7 days.
On the first day 9 Chapters we done reading in 2 hours after that our Granth we told on keep on rack on Numbers that we displayed on it.
We use to keep our Granth on lower rows so it was empty as all others use to keep on top rack.
Shri Gurucharitra Parayan : Day 2 till Day 6
From second till 6 day of the Parayan , we have to sit on the same place so check who is sitting where and remember it and if you are new then other Sevekari's will guide you and if you do not have flowers or Paan or Supari you will helped of someone.
You have to get your Granth from place where you kept it and start for reading after doing Sankalp.
Always we use to come before time and adjust everything and help other people.
Some amount is taken by Kendra Management for Mahaprasad on 7th day of the Parayan so in August 2026 contribution was ₹300.
Shri Gurucharitra Parayan : The Last 7th Day
On last day we have to come with 1 Coconut and 2 Vidachi Paane and complete the 09 Chapters from Chapter 44 to Chapter 53.
Many Sevekeri were preparing Mahaprasad and 10:30 AM aarti all Swami Samarth Bhakts with family enjoyed the Satvik Mahaprasad and then collected our Shri Gurucharitra Parayan Granth and came back home.
